ROCHESTER, New York — One of two men who pleaded guilty in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy in his home has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Nineteen-year-old Pedro Diaz was sentenced Tuesday state Supreme Court in Rochester, where he pleaded guilty in March to a charge of manslaughter.
Co-defendant Tyquan Elmore received a 20-year sentence earlier this month.
Authorities say the two shot Tysean Williams several times in 2013 as the honors student tried to help his grandmother inside her Rochester home. Elmore and Diaz had barged into the home looking for someone else.
