Police: 2 residents of Prescott Valley arrested in connection with series of ID thefts in area

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Arizona — Two residents of Prescott Valley are in custody in connection with a series of identity thefts in the area.

Prescott Valley police say 36-year-old Crystal Allen has been booked into Yavapai County Jail.

She's being held on suspicion of fraudulent schemes and artifices, aggravated identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, theft of a credit card and computer tampering along with drug possession charges.

Police say 45-year-old Randy Walters is facing several drug charges.

Investigators say Allen was allegedly driving a vehicle belonging to Walters when she was stopped by police on Oct. 28.

Detectives searched the home Allen and Walters share and say they found a trash can full of stolen mail along with four checks stolen from mailboxes and multiple items bought with stolen credit cards.
