CHEYENNE, Wyoming — The National Weather Service posted a winter storm warning Sunday afternoon for areas of central Wyoming, including Casper, Worland, Lander and Thermopolis.

Five to 10 inches of snow was possible in lower elevations with 10 to 15 in mountain areas.

A winter weather advisory was in effect for most of the eastern two-thirds of Wyoming, including Gillette, Sheridan, Riverton, Rawlins and Laramie.

The snow caused slick conditions along many roads and highways, including sections of Interstates 80 and 90.
