CADIZ, Kentucky — Authorities have found the body of a southwestern Kentucky man with his pickup truck after he ran off the road and into the Little River over the weekend.

Trigg County Emergency Management spokesman James Flood says investigators recovered 71-year-old Hal Fennell of Christian County at about 2 a.m. Monday.

Flood told The Kentucky New Era (http://bit.ly/1e95Eu2 ) that Fennell called a family member at about 8 p.m. Saturday on his cellphone and said he'd run off the road and was floating down the river in the truck.

Deputies found tire tracks leading into the river on Saturday and began searching with boats and sonar.

Rescuers brought in dogs, boats, aircraft and other gear from Fort Campbell on Sunday.

Flood said the river is about 15 feet deep by the bridge.
