ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico — Albuquerque police are investigating a fatal shooting that has resulted in a closure of part of a major street during the Friday morning commute.

Officer Fred Duran says the victim is a male and that nobody is in custody with the shooting in southeast Albuquerque. No other details are immediately available about the shooting.

Police say eastbound Central Avenue between Tennessee Street and Dallas Street has been reopened but that westbound Central Avenue in that same area remains closed.
