Justin Raffington scores 15 points, grabs 11 rebounds; Florida Atlantic beats Warner 74-49


BOCA RATON, Florida — Justin Raffington scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds on Monday night to lead Florida Atlantic past Warner 74-49.

Jackson Trapp added 13 points and Justin Massey scored 12 for FAU (1-1), which made 23 of 46 field goals while limiting Warner to 18-of-53 (34 percent) shooting, including 3 of 18 from 3-point range.

FAU led 33-29 at halftime before Massey scored nine points during 20-4 spurt to open the second half. Warner committed three turnovers and made 2 of 9 field goals during the run, which put the game out of reach.

Warren Hall and Bladimyr Santiago scored 15 points apiece for Warner.

FAU controlled the glass, out-rebounding Warner 40-27 and pulled down 13 offensive rebounds on just 23 missed shots. The Owls made more free throws (20) than Warner attempted (18).
