State police investigate collision that killed northern NY motorcyclist

PLATTSBURGH, New York — A 59-year-old northern New York man has died after his motorcycle collided with a car.

State police at Plattsburgh say Roger Strong of Ausable Forks was riding his 2005 Victory motorcycle on Route 3 in the town of Plattsburgh at 5:18 p.m. Friday when he struck a car that pulled out onto the highway. The car was driven by 62-year-old Marguerite Hart of Plattsburgh.

Police say Strong was transported to a hospital by ambulance and was pronounced dead a short time later.

The accident remains under investigation.
