CENTRAL ISLIP, New York — A Long Island man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison in the killing of two rival gang members after they were abducted from a house in 2004.

Newsday reports (http://nwsdy.li/1IpnplW ) a judge handed down the sentence against 37-year-old Luis Benitez Monday.

Prosecutors say three other people have pleaded guilty in the case.

Prosecutors say Anthony Marcano was lured to a Brentwood house because he was a drug dealer and the rival gang wanted to rob him. Marcano brought Fabian Mestres with him.

The two 17-year-olds were robbed and thrown in the trunk of a car. Prosecutors say they were taken to a Queens warehouse where Benitez shot them with a shotgun.

Benitez apologized to the victims' families in court.
