Police: Boy, 16, shot in the head, killed during exchange of gunfire in Columbus


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police say a 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Columbus convenience store.

The Columbus Dispatch ( ) reports police received a call Monday evening that a person had been found shot.

Sgt. David Sicilian says the boy was shot in the head and killed during an exchange of gunfire. The gunman then took off in what investigators believe is a four-door sedan.

Police later identified the teen who died as Tykeem Eskridge.
