Trial delayed for 2 teens accused of beating death of Abbeville man


ABBEVILLE, Louisiana — Trial for two Abbeville teens facing first-degree murder charges in the beating death of an Abbeville man has been delayed.

The Advocate reports ( ) District Judge Edward Broussard granted a continuance this week in the trials of Kiwane Narcisse and Tevin Johnson, both 19, who are accused in the death of 59-year-old Tam Ninh Thai.

Narcisse's trial date was reset for May 4, and Johnson's was reset for June 29.

A third teenager, 18-year-old Reco Davis, was sentenced in February to 40 years hard labor with 10 years suspended on a manslaughter conviction in Thai's death.
