MUNFORDVILLE, Kentucky — Interstate 65 in south-central Kentucky between Horse Cave and Munfordville has reopened after a crash closed down the northbound lanes and snarled southbound traffic.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the crash happened on the Green River Bridge in a work zone and that the bridge wall was hit. The bridge has been inspected, and the cabinet says there's no structural concern.

The cabinet says it will take time for traffic along the interstate and congestion along U.S. 31W, where some traffic detoured, to clear.
