DANIELS, West Virginia — Law enforcement officers who are the best in West Virginia at nabbing impaired drivers are being honored for their diligence.
Called the Top 52 Enforcers, they are deemed the best in the state for drunken and drugged driving apprehension. They are being honored at a conference at The Resort at Glade Springs sponsored by the West Virginia Governor's Highway Safety Program.
The conference that runs through Friday is aimed at bringing law enforcement officials from around the state together to focus on detecting and apprehending drivers suspected of being under the influence.
The gathering will include courses that focus on drunken-driving checkpoints, field sobriety testing and new laws.
