Authorities investigating death of man found shot at apartment in Lancaster

LANCASTER, South Carolina — Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man in Lancaster.

Police Capt. Scott Grant says officers responded to a call at an apartment Tuesday night, where they found a man dead from a gunshot wound.

Chief Deputy Coroner Karla Knight Deese says the man was 48-year-old James Hood of Lancaster. An autopsy was planned Wednesday.

Authorities are still investigating the shooting. No suspects have been arrested.
