Kaibab National Forest in northern Arizona adds to roster of rental cabins

FREDONIA, Arizona — A national forest in northern Arizona is adding another cabin to its roster of rental offerings.

The Kaibab (KEYE'-bab) National Forest's North Kaibab Ranger District says the rustic and historic Jumpup cabin is now available for public use through the Forest Service's "Rooms with a View" cabin rental program.

Built in 1906, the cabin has a wood stove but lacks electricity and running water. It offers a view of the Kaibab Creek Wilderness and is located at the mouth of Jumpup Canyon, which is southwest of Jacob Lake.

The North Kaibab Ranger District is located north of the Grand Canyon.
