JUNEAU, Alaska — Gov. Sean Parnell is scheduled to unveil his budget proposal at a chamber event in Anchorage on Thursday.
Parnell is slated to discuss his 2015 budget plan at an Anchorage Chamber of Commerce event at the Dena'ina Convention Center.
Parnell has already said he wants to see spending well below current levels with revenues expected to be sharply lower compared to last year.
State Revenue officials have blamed factors like lower-than-expected oil prices, declining production and higher-than-expected lease expenditures as factors in the lower revenue figures.
The budget rollout comes just over a month before the next legislative session starts. The Legislature is scheduled to convene Jan. 21.
