Montana Patrol reports 31-year-old Belt woman has died in a single-vehicle accident

GREAT FALLS, Montana — The Montana Highway Patrol says a 31-year-old Belt woman has died in a single-vehicle accident.

The patrol says the accident occurred Saturday morning in Cascade County near the community of Belt.

The initial investigation indicates the vehicle the woman was driving failed to negotiate a turn, struck a power pole and rolled down an embankment.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
