Authorities identify victim of head-on crash in North Dakota; pickup, semi-tanker collided


DICKINSON, North Dakota — Authorities have identified the 30-year-old man who died in a head-on crash in western North Dakota.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol on Friday identified the victim as Shane Grever, of Dickinson.

The Highway Patrol says the incident happened Thursday morning when Grever was traveling south in a pickup truck on State Avenue in Dickinson and failed to maintain the lane. As a result, Grever collided with a northbound semi-tanker. Grever was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 47-year-old driver of the semi-tanker was not injured.

The Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
