Colgate hangs on down the stretch to beat Bucknell, 66-62

HAMILTON, New York — Damon Sherman-Newsome scored 22 points and added five rebounds to lead Colgate to a 66-62 victory over Bucknell on Saturday afternoon.

With the scored tied at 58 with 3:13 left, Colgate scored 10 of the game's final 14 total points, including six in a row by Sherman-Newsome, to put the Bison away for good.

Austin Tillotson finished 12 points and six assists for the Raiders (5-10, 2-0 Patriot League), and Ethan Jacobs added 11 points and five boards. Offensively, Colgate shot 44.9 percent from the field, hit 11 3-pointers, and limited themselves to just six turnovers. They also dished out 15 assists as a team.

Nana Foulland finished with 17 points and six rebounds to lead Bucknell (6-9, 1-1). J.C. Show had 15 points off the bench, including 5 of 8 from downtown, and John Azzinaro added 12 points for the Bison.
