TRENTON, New Jersey — Two men have been indicted on murder charges stemming from the shooting death of a man whose body was found inside a burning car in Trenton earlier this year.

Mercer County prosecutors say 20-year-old Joeryan Foreman and 27-year-old Calier Samad, both of Trenton, were also charged with arson, robbery and weapons offenses in the indictment made public Tuesday.

Authorities say Samad allegedly shot 22-year-old Chevin Burgess in the head during a Jan. 4 robbery. Burgess' body was driven to another site, where the car was doused with gas and set on fire.

Foreman remains jailed on $600,000 bail. Authorities say he suffered burns on his hands and face when he threw a lighted book of matches into the car.

Samad is being held on $1 million bail.
