6 students suffer minor injuries in crash involving Knox County school bus, car

CORRYTON, Tennessee — Officials say six students have suffered minor injuries in a school bus crash in Knox County.

WBIR-TV (http://on.wbir.com/1Ka8ugl) reports the crash occurred when a car pulled out of a driveway Friday morning and hit the bus, which had 46 students on board from Holston Middle School.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office said six students suffered minor injuries. Five were released to parents and one was taken to the hospital.

Knox County Schools' spokeswoman Melissa Ogden said another bus took the rest of the students to school.

The sheriff's office said the woman who pulled the car out of the driveway was cited.
