MIAMI — State law enforcement officials have arrested an Opa-Locka police sergeant on charges of kidnapping, battery and tampering with a victim.
Florida Department of Law officials say 49-year-old German Bosque punched a victim in 2011 while responding to a domestic incident. FDLE also allege Bosque later illegally handcuffed and detained him at the police station when the victim tried to file a complaint.
Authorities say Bosque forcefully escorted the victim from the lobby, handcuffed him and placed him in a holding area. The victim was never allowed to file the complaint.
FDLE has been investigating the case for more than a year. Bosque was fired from the force last fall.
Bosque turned himself in Friday and is being held without bond. It's unclear if he has retained an attorney.
