Westport police say person whose body was found by jogger may have been moved

WESTPORT, Connecticut — Westport police say they are still investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered along a road over the weekend after autopsy results came back inconclusive.

The body of 39-year-old Sandokan Harrell of Bridgeport was found by a jogger on Saturday morning.

Police said Monday that Harrell attended an event at the Arena at Harbor Yard with friends on Friday evening but it remains unclear how he spent the last few hours of his life.

Police say Harrell may have experienced a medical issue somewhere before he was moved by somebody who wanted him to be found.

Authorities are waiting on results from further testing including toxicology results that can take six to eight weeks. Police are asking for witnesses to come forward.
