DALLAS — Four people have pleaded guilty to helping run a violent Dallas-area drug and weapons ring.

Prosecutors on Thursday announced details of the investigation that led to charges against 10 people. The defendants are from Dallas, Grand Prairie and Mesquite.

Three defendants pleaded guilty this week in Dallas to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Investigators say another defendant pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

The other six suspects face charges including conspiracy, drug trafficking and firearms counts.

Several defendants were arrested following a Feb. 10 raid at a home in Grand Prairie. Two FBI agents were fired upon but not hurt.
