Anchorage police say woman injured in Mountain View disturbance

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage police have released more information about a disturbance with a gun Wednesday afternoon.

Police initially suspected a woman was grazed by a bullet after they received a report of a man shooting off a firearm in the Mountain View neighborhood.

But police now tell KTUU (http://is.gd/LqDOJT) it doesn't appear the woman was grazed by a bullet, as first reports from a clinic suggested. Police say the woman was injured in the incident with the firearm.

A police spokeswoman couldn't immediately say if the woman was pistol whipped or otherwise struck with the gun.

The incident remains under investigation.
