Wyoming unable to overcome big first-half deficit in 77-66 loss to Idaho on Tuesday night


LARAMIE, Wyoming — The Wyoming Cowgirls suffered their first loss of the season when they fell to Idaho 77-66 on Tuesday night in Laramie.

The Cowgirls got in a 19-point deficit in the first half that they could not overcome.

Wyoming shot 30 percent from the field and was outrebounded 47-40.

Junior guard Marquelle Dent led the Cowgirls with a season-high 19 points and eight assists. Senior forward Kayla Woodward recorded her second straight double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman forward Bailee Cotton recorded a career-high 15 points followed by senior guard Kaitlyn Mileto with 12 points.
