Search on for new D'Iberville city manager; applications must be submitted by June 14

D'IBERVILLE, Mississippi — The search is on for a new D'Iberville city manager.

On Tuesday, the mayor and council voted to advertise the position. Applications must be submitted by June 14.

According to the job description, the post requires a bachelor's degree in public administration, human resources, business management or a closely related field -- or at least 10 years of executive-level experience administrating a city, county or state agency of similar size and complexity.

A salary range isn't included in the job description City Clerk Jodi Weise tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/11e3JwB) the pay will depend on qualifications.

Sharron Perkins, the city's chief financial officer, has been acting city manager since the council dismissed former City Manager Michael Janus in March.
