Worker dies after fall at Longmont shopping center under construction

LONGMONT, Colorado — A worker at a Longmont shopping center that is under construction has died after falling through a roof.

According to the Longmont Times Call, (http://goo.gl/mhmqe8 ) police Cmdr. Jeff Satur says the 39-year-old Aurora man fell through a hole in the roof of a business under development. He had just arrived at work at 6 a.m. Monday when it happened. Police say he fell about 15 feet and died at the scene.

His name has not been released. He was working for Erie-based Ramos Roofing.

Authorities are investigating and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also looking into what happened.
