LARAMIE, Wyoming — Wyoming has received a verbal commitment from Austin Mueller, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Mueller is UW's first commitment for its 2016 recruiting class. Currently, Wyoming has only one scholarship to offer in the 2016 class because of its young roster.

The 6-foot-6, 200-pound Mueller says he liked everything about UW and its mix of athletics and academics.

Mueller says he also made recruiting visits to Colorado, Denver, Northeastern and Northern Colorado.

Last season as a junior, Mueller averaged 6.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game while helping lead ThunderRidge to the Colorado Class 5A boys basketball championship game.
