WASILLA, Alaska — An 18-year-old Wasilla woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash Sunday on the Parks Highway.

Alaska State Troopers say Leeana Backlin was driving a sport utility vehicle at about 5:30 a.m. and lost control at Mile 37 in Wasilla.

The SUV rolled more than once.

Emergency responders rushed Backlin to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center and she was later transferred to Providence Medical Center in Anchorage.
