GREENSBORO, North Carolina — Eric Robertson sank a career-best seven 3-pointers and scored 22 points, and Chattanooga overtook UNC Greensboro in the second half for a 73-60 win Thursday night.

Trailing 35-29 at the break, Chattanooga (17-3, 6-1 Southern) took its first lead of the game during a 14-2 run sparked by back-to-back 3-pointers from Robertson and Tre' McLean to make it 50-46 with 8:53 to play. Greensboro (6-13, 2-4) cut the gap to 53-51 on Asad Lamot's 3 but then Chattanooga steadily pulled away down the stretch.

Robertson shot 7 for 11 from the field, all from behind the arc, and was 1 of 2 from the line. Justin Tuoyo added 18 points and Greg Pryor had 10 for Chattanooga, which hit 51 percent of its 45 shots from the field to snag its best start since the 1982-82 season.

Francis Alonso led Greensboro with 19 points and Kayel Locke had 13.
