He hit a Honda Pilot driven by 50-year-old Thomas J. Koller, of Freehold Township, head-on. Koller was also killed, along with Dever's passenger, 20-year-old Noelle DeLuccio, of Howell.

The Pilot became partially airborne and collided with a Toyota Camry, leaving the 25-year-old driver in extremely critical condition at a hospital with a head injury.

All of the occupants in the vehicles were wearing seatbelts and airbag's deployed.

One official described Tuesday's accident in Freehold Township as "horrific."
