Clinton's Minnesota "leadership council" comprised of US senators, governor, local activists


ST. PAUL, Minnesota — Both of Minnesota's U.S. senators as well as Gov. have signed on to a state "leadership council" for 's campaign for president.

The roster announced Monday includes more than 60 elected officials and community activists that will be working to turn out supporters at Minnesota's March 1 precinct caucuses.

Several had already voiced their Clinton support, but there are others from the state Legislature and beyond only now making their preference known. Among them is former Supreme Court Justice Alan Page, who wasn't able to take an active role in politics prior to leaving the bench in August.

Besides Sens. and , state Democratic Party Chairman Ken Martin and Lt. Gov. Tina Smith are also on the list. So is U.S. Rep Tim Walz.
