SHREVEPORT, Louisiana — A Shreveport high school student is faces charges after taking a handgun on a school campus.
Police tell The Times (http://bit.ly/10EcV7r ) the 17-year-old Fair Park High School student was arrested Friday after authorities found a .22 caliber handgun in his backpack.
Authorities took the weapon and arrested the teenager on a charge of carrying a weapon on school property and being in possession of a firearm in a Firearm Free zone.
Police their investigation into the incident continues.
