Sheriff: Man, 72, found dead following accidental mobile home fire near Port Huron


CASCO TOWNSHIP, Michigan — Authorities say a 72-year-old man has died in a mobile home fire near Port Huron.

The Times Herald of Port Huron reports ( ) the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department said Herbert Robinson was found Wednesday morning by his son in a mobile home park in Casco Township.

Authorities say there were signs that a fire had started in the home's living room before extinguishing. They say the fire was out when Robinson's son and rescue crews arrived, but there was smoke damage throughout the home.

Authorities say the fire was accidental.
