Trial set for man suspected of picking up packages of Ecstasy mailed from China to D'Iberville

D'IBERVILLE, Mississippi — A June 3 trail has been set for a man suspected of picking up packages of Ecstasy mailed from China to a D'Iberville home.

Authorities say 48-year-old Phung Nguyen is accused of picking up the packages. The amount reportedly seized from four shipments was about 2 kilos, or 4.4 pounds.

Court records say Nguyen has been held with no bond since his arrest March 7, when he told federal agents the substance is "Chinese medicine" intended for human consumption.

Nguyen was indicted April 16. He has pleaded not guilty.
