Retired math professor to give keynote address at Marshall winter commencement

HUNTNGTON, West Virginia — A retired Marshall University math professor will be the featured speaker at the school's winter commencement in Huntington.

Judith Silver has been chosen to address the graduating class on Dec. 14. Silver taught at Marshall for 30 years before retiring last spring.

Silver said the theme of her speech will be regrets, and she has five main points to share, along with some experiences.

Faculty members have been giving the keynote address at Marshall's winter graduation ceremonies since they began in 2008.
