WILMINGTON, Delaware — New Castle County Police say two people were hurt when a car drove into a house in Wilmington.

It happened about 7:40 a.m. Friday on Colefax Court, police said in a news release. Officers say a 60-year-old woman backed her car out of her driveway, traveled across the circle and hit a garage door.

Authorities say the woman then put her car into drive, traveled around the circle and crashed into another home.

Police say the 73-year-old resident of the home was trapped under the vehicle for over 20 minutes. Both women were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was cited for reckless driving.
