BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.

Deputies responded to a report of shots fired around 10 a.m. Saturday, where they found 32-year-old Eric Kinchen with gunshot injuries.

Casey Rayborn Hicks, a sheriff's office spokeswoman, says Kinchen died a short time later.

Hicks says an arrested warrant has been issued for a 22-year-old man. When arrested, he will be booked with second-degree murder and illegal use of a firearm.
