LA police say car burglary suspect wounded in exchange of gunfire with officers


LOS ANGELES — A car burglary suspect has been wounded in an exchange of gunfire with police officers in Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Times ( ) reports that officers responding to a report of a vehicle burglary Saturday morning spotted a man breaking into a car.

As they approached, they said the man pulled a gun and began firing. Officers returned fire and wounded him.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital. His condition was not disclosed.

Police say they are continuing to investigate.
