JACKSON, Tennessee — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has agreed to investigate a fatal shooting involving a Jackson police officer.

The Jackson Sun (http://bit.ly/1qCEkF6) reports the move on Monday came after a request from the Jackson Police Department, the district attorney general and the parents of man who was shot.

According to statements from Jackson police, Officer Raymond Dewayne Bond shot 20-year-old Cinque D'Jahspora last week after D'Jahspora attacked and stabbed him. Bond had answered a call about a man causing a disturbance and approached D'Jahspora because he matched the description given by a caller.

D'Jahspora's parents and their attorney held a news conference outside the TBI office in Jackson on Monday saying they want answers about how their son died.
