DALY CITY, California — The Coast Guard says one person died and two others seriously injured after falling from a cliff south of San Francisco.

Petty Officer Loumania Stewart said the accident happened before dawn Saturday after the three victims, all male, broke through a fence along the cliff near Daly City. A Coast Guard rescue team located the two survivors and airlifted to a hospital trauma center.

Stewart says the third person was dead by the time the rescue crew reached him. He was identified as 29-year-old Sean Carrington of Santa Rosa.

North County Fire Authority spokesman Klaus Zalinskis says the fenced-off cliff from which the three fell is located at Palisades Park, which is known for its views of the Pacific Ocean.
