Former teacher in Arkansas arrested, accused of sexually assaulting 2 juvenile males

VALLEY SPRINGS, Arkansas — Boone County authorities say a former middle school teacher has been arrested on accusations that she sexually assaulted two juvenile males.

The county sheriff's office says it began an investigation after it was notified of the allegations of inappropriate relations between the 29-year-old and the males.

The Valley Springs School Board met in a special session Aug. 31 and voted to unanimously accept the teacher's resignation after meeting in a closed session. Her resignation letter didn't say why she was quitting.

Sheriff's Capt. Bob King says both of the alleged victims were students or former students at a school in Valley Springs.

The Harrison Daily Times ( ) reports that the ex-teacher is scheduled Friday to be arraigned on charges.
