WILMINGTON, Delaware — Delaware state police are investigating what they describe as a fatal hit-and-run in Wilmington.
Authorities said a woman's body was found about 8:45 a.m. Friday in a grassy area on Marsh Road.
Investigators were still working Friday to identify the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary information and evidence indicates that the victim was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Marsh Road between I-95 and Washington Street Extension was closed for about 2 hours because of the investigation.
