Brooklyn school bus crashes into fence, causing minor injuries

NEW YORK — Authorities say a Brooklyn school bus jumped a curb, causing minor injuries to the children aboard.

The FDNY says it received a call Monday just after 5 p.m. for a bus mounting the sidewalk at 18th Avenue and 60th Street in the Bensonhurst neighborhood.

The front of the bus then plowed into a wooden fence.

Authorities did not know how many children were being treated for the minor injuries. Police say a Hatzolah ambulance operated by Jewish volunteers came to the rescue.

No other details were immediately available.
