Reno man arrested in stabbing of roommate; male victim in serious condition

RENO, Nevada — A 37-year-old Reno man has been arrested in the early morning stabbing of his roommate at a north-side residence they shared.

Police say Kenneth Snyder was charged Wednesday with one count of battery with a deadly weapon.

The victim, whose name has not been released, underwent surgery at a local hospital and is reported in serious condition.

Officers say the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds when they arrived at the residence on Mountcrest Lane about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say the two roommates had gotten into an argument before Snyder allegedly pulled out a knife and started stabbing the other man.

The case remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Reno police at 775-334-2115 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
