Police say evidence, witnesses link suspect to Phoenix bank robbery


PHOENIX — Police in Phoenix have made an arrest in the robbery of a Chase Bank.

Officer James Holmes said Wednesday that 36-year-old Eric Goins, Jr. has been taken into custody on one felony charge of armed robbery.

According to Holmes, Goins was positively identified as a suspect who robbed the bank Monday afternoon.

The suspect in that robbery entered the bank and passed a threatening note to a teller.

The teller gave an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled on fot.

Holmes says other evidence links Goins to the robbery.
