DAVIS, California — Michael Bryson scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead UC Santa Barbara to a 72-66 win over UC Davis on Thursday night.

Gabe Vincent scored 13 points and had four steals and Sam Beeler, Eric Childress and John Green scored 12 apiece for the Gauchos (11-12, 5-5 Big West). UC Santa Barbara had 10 steals and made 23 of 26 free throws.

Trailing by five at halftime, Josh Fox pulled the Aggies within 35-33 on a jumper, but Bryson and Childress each hit 3-pointers and the Gauchos pulled away 41-35 with 11:46 to play.

The Aggies closed to within one, 41-40, on Darius Graham's free throw, but the Gauchos again rallied and led 62-52 on Beeler's layup with 1:12 to go. Vincent and Childress combined to make 10 free throws in the final 52 seconds.

Graham scored 19 for UC Davis (10-13, 5-5), which made 11 of 22 3-pointers.
