NAPOLEONVILLE, Louisiana — Assumption Parish sheriff's deputies say a 30-year-old Napoleonville woman who escaped from custody while being transported to Avoyelles Women's Correction Center is back in custody.

Sheriff Mike Waguespack tells The Advocate (http://bit.ly/1HV1I9Q) Felicia Daigle was arrested Thursday on theft charges and was not considered armed or dangerous.

Waguespack said Avoyelles Women's Correction Center holds the parish's female pre-trial prisoners. He says Daigle was being transported there Thursday evening when she apparently opened the door of the van, got out and started running near the intersection of Louisiana Highway 69 and 70.

Waguespack says Daigle was capture at about 10:20 p.m.
