Share/Save/Bookmark

RAPID CITY, South Dakota — No one was injured in a fire that damaged the Peterbilt truck business in Black Hawk.

The Rapid City Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1qulEJr ) that nearly a dozen fire departments from the area responded to the blaze shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday. There were no hydrants near the building so water had to be hauled.

Three vehicles burned in the fire. Piedmont Fire Department Operations Officer Roy Kottwitz says some parts of the building and many tools might be salvageable.

The cause of the fire was not immediately determined.
