Share/Save/Bookmark

MONTPELIER, Vermont — Some hunters and trappers are learning how to become volunteer teachers of their sport.

The Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife is offering a course Friday and Saturday at the Fish & Wildlife's Green Mountain Conservation Camp at Buck Lake in Woodbury.

The course will cover policies and procedures, field experience and teaching methods so applicants can teach future Vermont hunters how to have a safe and enjoyable experience. After attending the training course, all applicants must shadow a chief instructor before they can teach on their own.
